Leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Pastor Evelyn Joshua has led the Emmanuel TV team on a charity mission to Alaba Rago in Ojo area of Lagos.
The team distributed bags of rice and cash to residents of the community. Large crowds gathered to welcome the Emmanuel TV team.
Sporting a shirt which has her late husband Prophet TB Joshua’s image and the inscription ‘The Life and Legacy of TB Joshua’, Evelyn assured the residents, “We will continue to visit you.”
She also urged them to pray for SCOAN partners around the world who make the donations possible.
Addressing disabled persons which included the blind and the crippled, with the help of an interpreter, Evelyn said the church is spreading the message of love to the community.
“Let love lead among you, in your family and in your homes,” she said.
Leaders of associations among the disabled spoke, promising to continue praying for the entire SCOAN family.
The visit to Alaba Rago is part of activities to mark the one year anniversary of the death of Joshua. The SCOAN founder taught his followers to give extravagantly.
The church said in a post on its Facebook page about the outing, “Prophet T.B. Joshua has left a legacy that will outlive him for generations yet unborn, a legacy of caring for the needy, feeding the hungry, being a father to the fatherless and a benefactor to the needy.”
It also hinged the charity work on 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 which reads, “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
