Faisal Makarfi, son of a former governor of Kaduna State and former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ahmed Makarfi, has died in a road accident.
According to a family source quoted by Vanguard, the crash occurred on Saturday evening while he was travelling along the Kaduna-Zaria dual carriageway.
The source said, “The accident occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria highway this evening.”
The ex-governor was at the hospital where his son was pronounced dead, the source further said.
The deceased was a civil engineer by training and attended Kaduna International School before he proceeded to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his secondary education.
He had his bachelor and master’s degrees at the University of Greenwich, London.
He was undergoing his PhD at the same university before his death.
