Former minister of interior Bello Yusuf has died aged 76 in the ancient city of Kano.
Yusuf died early Friday, according to a friend of the bereaved family, Hussaini Dalhatu.
The deceased was a senator from 1999 to 2007.

Funeral prayer for the Sardauna Dutse would take place after Jumu’at prayer at the Emir of Kano’s palace, Dalhatu said.
Born in Gwaram, Jigawa State in 1947, Yusuf was minister of interior in 1981 and minister of commerce in 1982.
