Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has resumed her Nollywood career with the release of a new movie titled Hatred.
Kennedy-Ohanenye was appointed as minister by President Bola Tinubu on August 21, 2023, but was removed from office on October 23, 2024, along with four other cabinet members.
Since leaving government, the 51-year-old politician has focused on filmmaking.
In a post on X on Wednesday, she announced her latest project and shared a link to the film on Kenuj TV, her YouTube channel.
The former minister has previously featured in movies like Saving My Marriage, Hunting the Angel, Royal Ploy and The Cow Girls, working alongside stars such as Segun Arinze, Ngozi Ezeonu, Linda Osifo and Francis Duru.
Beyond acting, Kennedy-Ohanenye is a lawyer and entrepreneur.
She joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 and made history as the first woman to declare a presidential bid under the party in the 2023 elections before stepping down to support Tinubu.
