Former national president, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and former commissioner for information in Abia State Bonnie Iwuoha has died.
Reports quoted family sources as confirming he died on Monday evening in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
Until his death, Mr Iwuoha was special adviser on media to Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Iwuoha was managing editor/head of editorial department , Daily Times, between 1991 and 1993, during which time he led seven presidential monitoring teams to seven states of Nigeria on inspection of DFRRI projects.
He was the chairman, screening and election committee at the Nigerian Guild of Editors’ 40th biennial convention held in Kano in June 2021.
