Ex-Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike has come down with an undisclosed ailment.
The 34-year-old on Wednesday posted a video of himself on Instagram receiving treatment in a hospital and lamenting his health condition.
Emenike was top scorer with four goals as the Eagles won a third Africa Cup of Nations title in 2013 in South Africa.
“God is good, the pain is too much for me and my heart cannot carry it anymore,” the former Fernabache forward wrote in the now-deleted video.
Some ex-internationals reacted to the video. Nwankwo Kanu wrote, “Get well my brother. God is with you.”
Austin Okocha also wrote, “Get well soon Nwanne.”
Last year, Emenike unveiled a newly constructed building of his medical consulting firm, E. Emenike Consultants Ltd, in Owerri, Imo State.
He starred for the Super Eagles from 2011 to 2015, and was capped 37 times.
