Super Eagles’ preparation for the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria has hit top gear following the arrivals of captain, Mikel Obi, John Ogu and William Troost-Ekong.
The trio arrived the team’s training camp in Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday – bringing the total number of players available to 18.

Mikel, 29, currently Nigeria’s fifth most-capped player with 75 appearances, will be hoping to spur the Eagles to her sixth mundial and first as skipper.
Fellow midfielder, Ogu, is staging a return to the national team following an impressive campaign in the Israeli topflight with Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
Troost-Ekong on the hand has become an indispensable part of the team since making his debut in 2015.
Mikel’s Chelsea teammate, Victor Moses, Olympiacos forward, Brown Ideye, and Belgium based duo, Moses Simon and Wilfred Ndidi, all breezed to camp late on Monday.
Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi arrived shortly before this report was published.
Three players are still expected to report to the team’s Bolton White Apartment. They are Elderson Echiejile, Dele Alampasu and Oghenekaro Etebo.

The team is scheduled to train twice on Tuesday – first in the morning and much later in the evening.
