A bomb has exploded at the busy Monday Market in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
Eyewitnesses say the bomb went off during a busy morning at the vicinity of the market.
The number of casualties could not be immediately verified as security agencies arrive the scene to secure the market.
A Borno government state government official confirmed the blast saying the causality number is very high because the place is usually crowded, but stated that security agencies were working to secure the area and rescue victims.
