Former presidential candidate Oby Ezekwesili on Wednesday clocked 58 and continued her call for an end to insecurity in Nigeria.
Mrs Ezekwesili, who is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, marked her birthday on Twitter with the lyrics of a song titled ‘In Christ Alone’.
“#Fifty-eight. #58. In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my Light, my Strength, my Song…… Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace. My Comforter, my All in All. Here in the love of Christ I stand,” she wrote.
In another tweet, she called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address the security challenges bedeviling the south-east in recent times.
“My voice thunders out to @MBuhari @NigeriaGov Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria. What precisely is going on in the South East? No one else has the apparatus and authority to know.
“What, Mr President is going on in the South East? Tell Nigerians the Truth, Mr. President,” she tweeted.
Ezekwesili recently said she has been rejecting ministerial appointments since 2007 after being alleged to have pleaded to join Buhari’s cabinet.
