Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has met with ex-president of Latvia, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, and Botswana’s former president, Festus Mogae.
Mrs Ezekwesili met with the former leaders during a discourse on nation-building organised by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), two non-profit organisations who work to implant democracy worldwide.
Ezekwesili, on Tuesday via Twitter, shared her excitement at meeting the two leaders who she said “have a lot to teach Leaders about nation-building.”
She said Mr Mogae and his wife have been “Uncle Festus and Aunty Barbara” to her for over 25 years.
“I was one of the youngest co-founders of Transparency International at the time he was VP of his country and key promoter of the organization,” Ezekwesili said.
