Super Eagles duo, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa, suffered a shocking exit from the FA Cup at the hands of English third tier side, Millwall.
The Nigerians who are on the payroll of reigning Premier League champions, Leicester City, crashed 1-0 with their team on Saturday against the League One side.
Having previously eliminated Bournemouth and Watford, 10-man Millwall added a third top-flight scalp by toppling Leicester, thanks to a last- minute goal by defender Shaun Cummings.
Eagles vice-captain, Musa, got a rare start while midfield maestro, Ndidi, watched helplessly from the sidelines as the host impressed.
Musa, who featured for the entire duration of the game, wasn’t able to produce any moment of magic to save Claudio Ranieri’s blushes.
“I am very disappointed,” the Italian gaffer admitted.
“We played well in the first half, so-so at the beginning of the second until it went to 10 versus 11. After then, they played better than us, with more desire and heart and deserved to win.
“When we have the opportunity to go to the next round, we have to win. We have to show desire. I gave a great opportunity to my players. ”
It is the latest embarrassing result to befall Leicester, who lie just one place and one point above the Premier League relegation zone after a run of five successive defeats.
