Entertainer and social crusader, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the Bahd Guy, has been dragged into the controversy surrounding the alleged rape of a young women by two men in Lagos.
Don-Chima Enyinnaya George and Olusegun Rasak were arrested earlier in the week and arraigned in court on Wednesday over allegation that they drugged and raped a 23-year-old in a hotel in the Lekki area of Lagos.
They were said to have recorded the act on mobile phone.
The case reignited the campaign against sexual violence against women, with the hashtag #JusticeForRapeInNigeria trending on social media.
Given his campaign against social vices, some critics knocked Falz for not speaking out against the two men involved in the Lekki incident.
Many others, however, defended the 28-year-old law graduate, saying he has addressed sexual violence and related evil in his music.
They went hard on those who needlessly dragged the singer into the controversy.
The singer had not reacted publicly to the raging controversy as at the time of filing this report.
