The eighth day Fidau (prayer for the deceased) for Yoruba actor Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani, popularly known as Sisi Quadri, will hold at the D.C School, Araromi in Iwo Osun state on Saturday, March 9, his family announced on Tuesday.
A poster containing the Fidau announcement was published on Instagram.
Sisi Quadri died on Friday, March 1 at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) and was buried in his hometown, Agbowo area of Iwo, Osun State, according to Islamic rites.
According to his brother, Muktar Oyebamiji, the deceased battled with malaria and hiccups before he eventually died.
Quadri, known for his sarcasm in movies and skits, had his breakthrough in 2004 in the epic Yoruba movie, Seranko Seniyan. His meteoric rise came in 2020 when he released the movie Ebudola alongside an actress, Funmi Awelewa.
His other movies include Ololade Mrs Money, Toko Taya, Big Brother Ibadan, Lepa Gawu and recently Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.
Aside from acting, Sisi Quadri was a trained fashion designer and, at different times, expressed his love for the craft, which he reiterated he would never leave.
He was married and blessed with two kids, Hazani Olamilekan, and Olamide Oyebamiji. In October 2020, he completed his house.
Quadri’s passing occurred just a year after he lost his mother on February 22, 2023.
