Ex-beauty queen Precious Chikwendu has said she and her former lover Femi Fani-Kayode are in good terms but have no influence on each other’s personal lives.
Ms Chikwendu and Mr Fani-Kayode fell out in 2020 which saw her separated for two years from her four boys whom she has with the former aviation minister.
The duo, however, reconciled recently and have attended events together.
Addressing rumour that she and Fani-Kayode are back together again, Chikwendu said in an Instagram post on Saturday, “@real_ffk (Fani-Kayode) and I had our wars. I fought brazenly, and in the end earned my respect and ended rifts with agreements to focus on the priority which remains the 4 boys. Since then we have attended school programs, made decisions about our kids and wished each other well sincerely.
“If being in a party together seems to make headlines and feels like issue then we have problems with our thinking as a people. I wouldn’t see that as a big deal given that i talk to my children’s father as often as possible so why would a picture stir such?
“We have greater national concerns than to focus on this. @real_ffk and I are in good terms and live separately. I have no influence on his personal life neither does he mine. I am the mother of his sons and that is not changing.”
Chikwendu, who is also an actress, urged bloggers to stop peddling lies about her, adding that she is only co-parenting with the ex-minister.
“You can insult me and make your followers do. It wont change anything but please know that all of these is affecting 4 innocent kids whose happiness depends on both parents and are currently enjoying the warmth they lost for 2 years,” she wrote.
Chikwendu added that she would continue to honour her children’s father in spite of their separation.
