Fans are attacking Afro-pop sensation, Burna Boy’s, statement where he criticised colleagues who were flaunted their streaming numbers.
The 27-year-old singer said this in a post on InstaStories on Monday.
“If joke things like Baby Shark and Gangnam Style can do more numbers than everyone, do not think you are talented or respected because of your streaming numbers,” he wrote.
Last Wednesday, Burna Boy, had condemned Nigerian artists who jump at international record deals.
He said that he was thankful to his manager and mother for ensuring that he would never be an “international victim.”
Since Burna Boy’s statement came to light fans have reacted furiously.
