Fans have taken to social media to react to Omawumi’s outburst during a live interview in which host, Zinia, asked about her smoking and drinking habit.
The 15-minute interview with HFtv started well but ended abruptly, when the Itsekiri born singer-songwriter cum actress got offended with her interviewer walked out of the set.
Omawumi, 34, hails from Delta state. She is a brand ambassador for Konga.com, Globacom and Malta Guinness.

Some people so dumb not to still realize that Omawumi smokes with the way she reacted on that show

Omawumi acted like an illiterate, hot-blooded Yoruba woman and you can’t help but agree that she wouldn’t be one who reasons objectively
— Young God (@K3hinde) May 5, 2016
How dare you? A singer who’s married with 2 kids, who’s clearly moved beyond rumours however unfounded. Omawumi exercised extreme patience.

I think people saying Omawumi should have just answered the question and moved on don’t really understand the damaging effects of bad press.

Was Omawumi right to have walked out of the interview? Yes. The questions were border line retarded.
— The Eagle (@AOT2) May 5, 2016
See them attacking Omawumi, the same ones that will rain insults when someone disagrees with their tweets or ask a simple question. SMH!

If Omawumi were a male artist, would she be asked to respond to drinking and smoking rumors as a role model?

Finally watched the Omawumi “interview”. WTF was the girl doing? How does she have a job? What do you call that interview style?
— Oreka Godis (@Rhecks) May 5, 2016
Of course there are better ways for Omawumi to have handled the situation.
In my opinion though, she handled it the best way..

But even if Omawumi drinks and smokes what kind of question is “How do you keep your drinking and smoking away from your kids”
— Aunty Social (@exschoolnerd) May 5, 2016
#Omawumi What has Omawumi done wrong that she is being clobbered? She was right to have walked out on the stupid interviewer.
— Bayo onanuga (@aonanuga1956) May 5, 2016
If you want to live a happy life as an artist or celebrity, follow the Omawumi example and live happily ever after. She was spot on!
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) May 5, 2016
A journalist is on a fact finding mission and not a PR person. Omawumi was asking the journalist if she meant well for her. Unprofessional.

Is Omawumi the first person interviewer will ask crazy questions!? All she had to do was say a yes or no. Storming out was silly abeg.
