Fans are praising Bose Ogulu, mother of pop musician, Burna Boy, as she captured attention show at the BET awards with her acceptance speech.
The 27-year-old was not in the hall to receive his best International act award so his mother received it on his behalf.
“You were Africans before you were anything else,” Bose Ogulu said while receiving the award as she admonished the audience.
Her words have caught the attention of social media users who have praised her for reminding the majority black- Americans audience of their roots.
