Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has met the president-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Olumide Akpata.
Mr Akpata was accompanied to the meeting on Monday by the NBA secretary-elect Joyce Oduah at the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti.
Also present was the Attorney General of Ekiti State Wale Fapohunda.
The agenda for the meeting was not immediately clear.
Akpata was elected president of the NBA on July 30 despite being the only non-senior advocate of Nigeria among the contestants.
He won the election with over 50 percent of the total votes cast.
His rivals for the office of NBA president were Dele Adesina (SAN) and Babatunde Ajibade (SAN).
