FC IfeanyiUbah’s Japanese-American coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, has reportedly quit the club barely one month into his contract.
The Federation Cup champions appointed the former Heart of Oak gaffer to lead the club for the upcoming season after finishing fourth last term.
His selection led to the exit of young Brazilian tactician, Rafael Everton, who spearheaded the club’s first domestic title in history.
However, multiple reports now claim Yatsuhashi has stepped down from his role citing “too much management interference with team selection”.
The club is yet to officially confirm his departure but it is alleged that the Japanese only acted with his imminent sack looming.
This is because the club’s hierarchy seemed unimpressed after their side lost two successive games at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League’s (NPFL) Super Four tournament.
It is being speculated that former Enyimba coach, Paul Aigbogun, will be named as his successor.
