Motunrayo Anikulapo-Kuti, daughter of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has given birth to a boy.
The 41-year-old announced the birth during the week. She also shared photos of the boy on Instagram.
The management of New Afrika Shrine also celebrated mother and child in an Instagram post.
“THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF OF THE NEW AFRIKA SHRINE CELEBRATE, THE BIRTH OF BABY OLANREWAJU OLUFELA AYOKUNLE CHRISTOPHER JOHN BAKARE. ARARARARA,” the post read.
Motunrayo’s brother Femi Kuti congratulated her in the comment section of the Afrika Shrine post on Facebook.
Like her siblings, Motunrayo is an entertainer. She is the CEO of Ifeniomous Entertainment, a record label that she named after her daughter Ifeniola.
Her mother, Damiregba, was one of the 27 women who got married to Fela in 1978.
