A female officer of the Nigerian Air Force simply identified as George has allegedly taken her own life.
George, a master warrant officer working at 651 Base Services Group Resident at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, was said to have taken her life on Saturday, June 10.
The officer was found dead in her room on Sunday.
She was pronounced dead by medical personnel from the 3 Air Provost (Air Police) who evacuated her body to 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Ikeja.
Spokesman for the NAF Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa confirmed the incident to The Nation, adding that a committee had been set up to investigate the incident.
