Professor Tayo Adesina of the Department of History, University of Ibadan was on Thursday, May 31 admitted to the prestigious fellowship of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (FNAL).
He was admitted along with three others.
Prof Adesina is brother of Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
The Nigerian Academy of Letters is the apex organisation of academics in the humanities in Nigeria.
Adesina’s induction as Fellow will take place at the JF Ade Ajayi Auditorium, the University of Lagos on August 9.
A graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Prof Adesina was unanimously elected President of Society of the Nigerian Archivist (SNA) in 2017 to pilot the association’s affairs for next two years.
