Afrobeat star Femi Kuti has celebrated his wife, Anthonia Bernards, one week after his son Made Kuti wedded.
The 61-year-old posted lovely photos of himself and his partner via Instagram on Thursday with a birthday message to her.
“My darling, HBD LLNP Anthonia Bernards,” he wrote.
Anthonia was also celebrated by celebrities and followers of Femi Kuti in the comment section of the post.
On his 61st birthday in June, Anthonia who is a dancer in Femi’s band shared photos of the couple on Instagram with a birthday message to Femi.
She wrote: “Words alone are not enough to express how happy I am you are celebrating another year of you life! My wish for you on your birthday is that you are, and will always be happy, healthy and always be celebrated.
“Thank you for being such a Blessing in my life. You are a Treasure to me always. Happy birthday Big Baby.”
She also addressed Femi as her husband in one of her birthday appreciation posts.
“I want to say Thank you to the Best Hubby and my Family and friends, for showering me with a heart touching and wonderful Birthday Wishes. I’m so grateful to you all,” she wrote.
Femi was once married to another dancer Funke Kuti. They have a son named Made Kuti who is also an Afrobeat singer.
Although Femi and Funke are separated, they remain very good friends and she is a regular face at the New Afrika Shrine where Femi and their son play.
