Afrobeat singer Femi Kuti has wished his ex-wife Funke a happy birthday.
The 60-year-old took to the comment section of Funke’s Instagram post on Wednesday to wish her long life and prosperity.
“HBD. LLNP Funke,” he wrote in abbreviations.
“Thank you so much Baba Made,” Funke responded.
To celebrate her birthday, Funke paid homage to Femi’s grandmother Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Queen Amina Of Zazzau and other “notable, strong women who ruled, led, and challenged authorities for positive reforms in Nigeria”.
The dancer who shared a video from the photo shoot on Instagram on Wednesday also listed the names of the women and their historic achievements.
The ex-couple remain inseparable despite ceasing to be husband and wife many years ago.
On his 60th birthday in July, Funke thanked Femi for loving their son Made unconditionally.
“And just like that, you are 60!!!!! You don old o! Happy Birthday, Baba Mádé @femiakutiThank you for all you do. You are such an amazing man and father. Thank you for loving our son unconditionally. May God continue to Bless and Favour you now and always,” she wrote.
