Funke Kuti, ex-wife of Afrobeat star, Femi Kuti on Tuesday celebrated the 70th birthday of her mum Laila St Matthew-Daniel.
Funke shared a photo of her mum on Instagram, thanking God for granting her long life.
“Heavenly Father, on this special day we come to you in celebration of my mother’s 70th birthday.
“On this special day, we thank You for granting my mother another year of life.
“We give You thanks and praise for all the wonderful things You have done and will continue to do in her life.
“Bless her with long life, good health, joy, and peace. May her heart be filled with love and gratitude always

Funke also shared pictures of her mum with her daughters and grandchildren.
Funke is the mother of Femi Kuti’s son Made Kuti who is also an Afrobeat musician.
She was also a member of her ex-husband’s Positive Force band.
Although Femi and Funke are separated, they remain very good friends and she is a regular face at the New Afrika Shrine where the former and their son play.
