Femi Otedola hosts Wizkid, Burna Boy at Lagos residence

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has hosted music superstars Wizkid and Burna Boy at his residence.

Otedola shared photos from their visit on Instagram on Wednesday, describing it as a “true privilege.”

“A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons,” he wrote.

He added that the gathering provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and celebrate Afrobeats’ global recognition.

“Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats…F.Ote $.”

Cecil Hammond, the CEO of Flytime, was also one of the guests.

Wizkid and Burna Boy are among Nigeria’s most influential artists. Wizkid gained prominence in 2011 with his debut album Superstar and has since won numerous awards, including a Grammy in 2021 for Made in Lagos.

Burna Boy, who broke into the industry with Like to Party in 2013, won a Grammy in 2021 for Twice As Tall.

The billionaire’s two daughters, Tolani and Florence Otedola (known as DJ Cuppy), are both musicians.

Tolani, the eldest, is a singer-songwriter renowned for her soulful sound.

In contrast, Florence is a DJ, producer and singer who is celebrated for her vibrant tracks that blend Afrobeats and pop.

Otedola, a major player in Nigeria’s business sector, has investments in oil and gas, shipping, real estate and power generation.
