Femi Otedola, Tekno, Leke Adeboye, others attend Mr Eazi’s mum’s funeral in Ogun

Singer Mr Eazi

Pastor Ifeoma Ajibade, mother of singer Mr Eazi, was laid to rest on Friday, April 11, in a private burial ceremony held at a cemetery in Ogun State.

The solemn event was attended by close family members, friends and a few dignitaries, including billionaire businessman Femi Otedola and his wife Nana Otedola and Temi Otedola.

Others present included singer Tekno and Leke Adeboye, son of Redeemed Christian Church of God General Overseer Pastor E.A. Adeboye.

The burial followed a service of songs held on Wednesday, where tributes poured in, highlighting Pastor Ifeoma’s faith, generosity and the positive impact she had on many lives.

During his tribute, Mr Eazi described his mother as a selfless woman who always believed in him, even when he struggled to believe in himself.

“Life feels cold, distant, and incomplete without you,” he said.

“I know people say you’re in a better place, but selfishly, I wish you were still here, holding us together, guiding us, loving us as only you could.”

“Mummy, you carried my burdens, corrected me with love, comforted me in my fears, and always saw greatness in me,” he continued.

“I vow to live in a way that honours your dreams for me, to become the man you always believed I could be.”

He ended his speech with a heartfelt promise to cherish her love and memory.

“Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for standing by me. Thank you for being my mother. I love you. I miss you. And until we meet again, I will carry your love with me forever.”

Mr Eazi had announced his mother’s passing in an Instagram post on March 24, writing, “I lost my biggest fan.”
