Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square have cancelled their American tour as a result of renewed sibling rivalry.
One half of the duo made this public in response to a fan’s question on Tuesday.
The Instagram user had asked for an update on the twins’ advertised tour of the United States of America and Canada scheduled for August and September.
Paul, the one known as Rudeboy, responded that it “is not happening”.
The cancellation confirms a renewed war between the brothers who are as popular for their music as they are for their endless fights.
Peter and his brother engaged in a nasty back and forth in 2016 over the control of their music.
While the former wanted their older brother, Jude Okoye, to hands off their affair, the latter would not have any of that.
After playing with their fans’ hearts, the two made up and released a makeup track titled ‘Bank Alert’.
The hatchet they buried in 2016 was exhumed when Paul, who recently welcomed a set of twins with his wife Anita, took a shot at Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo.
“Don’t take my silence for granted, only a woman can come where brothers are working in peace and destroy it,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
Peter responded: “People who can’t stand to see the success of others will never experience their own…”
Thus began another chapter in a very familiar drama.
