The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday celebrated Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega on her 27th birthday.
FIFA tweeted with its Women’s World Cup handle, saying: “Get the phone out for ever-popular Nigeria star Francisca Ordega on her 27th birthday. Have a great day Francisca.”
On its part, the NFF tweeted: “Happy birthday to @NGSuper_Falcons star and multiple Nations Cup winner, @OrdegaF.”
In an Instagram post, Ordega said about herself: “I believe in myself so much. I have what it takes to be a greater person than I was before, I’m a trademark on my own and I have all it takes to build an empire for myself. I am grateful to heaven for this opportunity. Happy birthday to me. I love me so much.”
The Shanghai Shenhua forward has starred for Nigeria at both the FIFA Women’s World Cup and African Women’s Championship.
She has also been nominated for best female African footballer.
