Nigerians seem not to be the only ones anticipating the Super Eagles’ World Cup opening fixture.
Drawn in Group D alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia, the three-time African champions will be making their sixth appearance in Russia.
World soccer governing body, FIFA, appears poised for the country’s first game against Croatia on June 16.
The encounter, first of its kind between both nations, will be held a the Kaliningrad Stadium.
It will be the first time the 36,00-capacity edifice will host a game of such magnitude.
FIFA took to its official Twitter handle on Thursday to begin the countdown to the game.

Nigeria will then face Iceland and Argentina in subsequent fixtures.
The tournament will run from 14th June to July 15th.
