Actor and movie director, Lanre Adediwura, has regained freedom after allegations of brutalisation by men attached to the Lagos State police command.
The Apasaye actor disclosed this in an Instagram post on Friday.
He revealed that he and all the civilians involved had been released.
Mr Adediwura promised to give detailed information about his ordeal at a later time and thanked his colleagues and the members of the press who came to his aid.
In a series of posts to Instagram on Thursday, Lanre Adediwura had said he was intercepted by some policemen while picking an unnamed pregnant woman.
A female police personnel reportedly tore her own uniform to falsely accuse him of assaulting an officer of the law.
The filmmaker was subsequently taken to court from where he was taken to Kirikiri because he could not immediately meet his bail conditions.
