Movie director, Victor Okpala, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment from several actresses, has apologised to his family, his friends, family and his colleagues for the embarrassment caused by the allegation.
The filmmaker who has previously denied the allegation, issued the apology in several posts shared on Instagram on Friday.
“Let me start by apologising to all my friends, family, pastors and fans who felt disappointed and shamed when the news broke on social media of my alleged involvement in the casting couch and sexual harassment. I am terribly sorry for the embarrassment…,” he wrote.
He also apologised to any girl who “may have felt he acted inappropriately towards her.
On June 11, Victor, through his lawyers, Aghogho Akpojotor &Associates, petitioned the Nigerian Police Office after a woman who identified herself as Lala Akindoju, alleged that he had raped an unnamed actress in a June 8 Instagram post.
He also threatened to sue her for N100m in damages.
