Actor, filmmaker and production manager Yusuf Olorungbebe has tragically passed away after reaching out for assistance from Nigerians.
The sad news was confirmed by actress Foluke Daramola on Wednesday on her Instagram page.
Foluke expressed her grief in a brief message, “We lost Yusuf Olorungbebe. We submit to God’s Will 🙏 Thank you, everyone!”
Last Saturday, the actress shared a video of Yusuf lying on a hospital bed, soliciting help from Nigerians as he was on life support.
She urged the public to donate towards his medical expenses and provided an account number for contributions.
“I’m here again to plea on behalf of my esteemed colleague and production manager, Mr. Yusuf Olorungbebe. This is his current state—on life support. Please, no amount is too small. Your support can go a long way in helping us. Thank you so much, everyone,” she wrote.
By Monday, Foluke Daramola expressed her gratitude to those who had contributed, extending a special thanks to the Lagos State Government and commissioner for their assistance.
Sadly, despite the outpouring of support, Yusuf Olorungbebe’s condition did not improve, leading to his eventual death.
