The headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in Lagos was on Tuesday engulfed by fire.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the fire was reportedly caused by an electrical fault around 7am today.
The flames affected some offices in the audit, communications and engineering departments.
Policemen and firefighters were immediately deployed to put out the fire and maintain order.
The unfortunate incident caused traffic jams around the environs of the Lagos airport but there was no disruption of flightoperations.
FAAN was yet to issue an official statement on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
