“I can’t tell you here now that elections will take place in the state on Saturday or not,” Orji said.
He said the commission would evaluate what is left of the electoral items before an official statement can be made.
On the cause of the fire, Mr Orji said, “We don’t have any provision in the container for the plugging of electrical appliances.”
Containers loaded with electoral materials were consumed in the fire which began at 2:30pm on Tuesday.
