Chelsea on Friday morning confirmed that strikers, Alexandre Pato and Radamel Falcao, as well as goalkeeper, Marco Amelia, have left the club.
While loan deals for Pato and Falcao expired on Thursday, Amelia is now a free agent.
Announcing the release of all three players on the club’s website, Chelsea said: “Chelsea Football Club thanks the players for their contributions and wishes them success in the future.”
Falcao arrived on a season-long loan from AS Monaco after failing to win himself a contract at Manchester United following a similar arrangement the season before, and spent much of time on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge.
The Colombian striker returns to the Ligue 1 side having made just 11 appearances for the Blues, scoring once, in the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace last August.
Pato, meanwhile, arrived last January in another short-term move as Chelsea attempted to inject life into their faltering campaign.
Chelsea contributed £30,000-a-week to his wages, but the former AC Milan forward struggled to make an impact at the Bridge to the extent that the Blues were considering terminating his contract before the end of the season.
He made just two appearances, scoring once, during his spell with the club.
The Brazilian returns to parent club Corinthians.
Goalkeeper Amelia, signed as back-up for Thibaut Courtois, has been released having signed as a free agent.
It is believed more clear out will follow at the club with the imminent arrival of Italian tactician Antonio Conte.
