Florence Ajimobi, widow of the former governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi, on Friday celebrated her 65th birthday in grand style in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
The occasion was divided into two parts — a thanksgiving service and a reception/worship concert.
Present at the thanksgiving service was the former governor of Lagos State and ex-minister of works and housing Babatunde Fashola.
Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was also present.
Mrs Ajimobi had an emotional moment when her family and friends sang the birthday song for her at the thanksgiving service.
There was a special prayer for the celebrant by former prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Sunday Makinde, at the service.
Wife of Ogun State governor, Bamidele Abiodun; wife of former governor of Lagos, Bolanle Ambode; wife of former Ekiti governor, Bisi Fayemi were at the birthday reception dinner and worship concert.
Mrs Ajimobi, in an Instagram post, marvelled at the decor made at the venue for the occasion.
She wrote, “Big big things! For real Q2 is starting with a big bang! For the 65th birthday celebration of Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi @florenceajimobi, Bims excellently created this stunning decor that made the guests walk on water!
“Once again, happy 65th birthday to Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi. Ma, you continually inspire us with your grace, wisdom and unwavering positivity. Cheers to many more years of love, laughter and unforgettable memories.”
