Football fans are paying tribute to former Chelsea striker, Fernando Torres, after he announced that he is to retire from football.
Torres, who scored a famous last-minute goal against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final in 2012, made the announcement on social media on Friday.
Fernando Torres began his career at Atletico Madrid, with the boyhood fan progressing through the academy system to make his senior debut at 17 years of age.
He enjoyed a glittering playing career in which he won almost all the major trophies in football with Liverpool, Chelsea and the Spanish national team.
Since news of his retirement broke, fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to him.
