Spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force Muyiwa Adejobi has condoled with comedian AY Makun on the fire accident at his house on Sunday.
A video filmed by someone who claimed to be a neighbour of AY showed fire at the comic star’s Lekki house in Lagos.
Although AY is yet to speak on the incident, the funnyman took to his Instagram page on Monday to indicate he and his family are safe.
The movie star also implied that his wife and children are presently in the United States.

AY, who appeared to be currently in Alberta, Canada, said he could not wait to join them.
“Family and God. That is what’s important. Everything else comes and goes. Can’t wait to join you guys in the US in a few days,” he wrote.
Mr Adejobi wished AY well in a post on Instagram on Monday.
“I sympathise with my brother, AY Comedian, on the fire incident that gutted his house. It’s quite unfortunate. It’s well with you, bro, ile oba tojo, ewa lo maa busi. May the Lord be with you,” he wrote.
