Chief Justice of Nigeria Olukayode Ariwoola has appointed Adeola Kehinde nee Adejobi as notary public.
Mrs Kehinde is the sister of the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
A notary public in Nigeria is appointed by the CJN and is deemed an officer of the Supreme Court. In other words, a notary public is an extension of the court as he or she is authorised to administer oaths.
A notary public serves the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with general financial transactions, estates, deeds among others.
