Founder of Omega Fire Ministries Apostle Johnson Suleman has reacted to the apology issued by actress Halima Abubakar on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the actress posted an apology letter to Suleman on Instagram, retracting the allegations she made against him which included claims of being inflicted with a life-threatening illness.

She had also accused him of impregnating her three times and losing each pregnancy.

Also, she claimed the cleric engaged in sexual intercourse with her while she was bleeding and that he failed to marry her as promised.

In her letter, she wrote: “I am writing to you today to acknowledge the falsehoods I made against you on social media and to offer my sincerest apology.

“After deep reflections, and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm, pains and distress caused by my lies.”

Halima expressed hope that the letter would open the door to his forgiveness, acknowledging that an apology alone cannot undo the damage done.

Reacting to the apology, Suleman wrote on social media, “You all stop calling my phone. Forgiveness is not memory loss! Status quo maintained.”

In April, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja fined Halima N10 million as damages for defaming Suleman.

Suleman filed the lawsuit against her in 2022.
