The former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Ejike Asiegbu has lost his father.
The 62-year-old confirmed the death in a text message sent to friends on Monday night.
He wrote: “With gratitude to God for a life well spent, I wish to inform you of the transition of my dear father Chief, Sir, Engr. J. U. Asiegbu, an electrical engineer to eternal glory.
“He was the oldest man in Umuihi Umuogba Ekeoba in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
“He passed on last Saturday, the 15th of January 2022. He was 100 years Old.
“He is survived by many children and grandchildren. Funeral rites announcements would be made later. Please remember our family in your prayers.“
Ejike has featured in several movies like Power Must Change Hands, The Preacher, Number One Enemy, Windfall, Gossip Nation, Oracle, State of Emergency, Silent Night and others.
