Socialite and former commissioner of information in Delta State Chike Ogeah has held a memorial service for his wife Olufunke in London.
Mrs Ogeah, aged 62, died after a prolonged illness on March 17.
In an Instagram post, Ogeah said the memorial service was held at the Finchley Methodist Church in London, UK.
He said the service was soul-searching, inspirational and everything his wife would have wanted as a way of bidding her goodbye.
“The children had a real intimate & private Memorial for their mother @ the Finchley Methodist Church(our Local Church since 1995) in London, it was soul searching, inspirational & everything Funke would want to usher her into our new Home @ the Feet of Jesus Christ our Lord….thank you Uche,Mayowa,Uzoma,Elizabeth,Chike Jr & Damilola….God bless you all my dear Family,” Ogeah wrote.
The deceased was a 1985 graduate of the University of Lagos.
She is survived by her husband, 91-year-old mother, daughter, two sons, a grandson, brother, and three sisters.
Mr Ogeah is the managing director of MacFolly Hospitality Ltd (owners of Lagos Marriott Hotel in Ikeja). He lost his father in 2015.
