Former manager of Enyimba International F.C, Samson Unuanel, has dragged the club before the National Industrial Court, Abuja over the unpaid balance of his sign-on fee reaching N3.4million.
Mr Unuanel who is the head coach of Osun United presently has asked the court to also order payment of N100 million as general damages and another N10 million for cost of prosecuting the suit.
When the matter came before Justice Kiyersohot Damulak on Tuesday, the claimant’s counsel, Mr Ayodele Justice, informed the court that the club has been informed of their requests.
Justice Damulak rejected a demand to transfer the case to the Owerri Division of the Industrial Court.
The judge informed that he lacked the power to transfer a case assigned to him by the president of the court to another division before adjourning the matter until June 6 for further hearing.
Unuanel in his statement of facts claimed he was employed the chief coach of Enyimba on a season contract running through the 2009/2010 football season.
He has previously worked as a coach at Kwara United, Niger Tornadoes and Sunshine Stars Coach.
