A former reporter at The Guardian Lekan Adeniran has been appointed the chief press secretary of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Secretary to the State Government Tokunbo Talabi disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Talabi said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Adeniran, a graduate of mass communication, has over three decades of experience as a journalist.

He began his journalism career at The Guardian in 1992, where he covered the Social Democratic Party, Lagos State House of Assembly and governor’s office, Alausa, Ikeja. He left The Guardian in 2001 to join the then-newly established Daily Independent.
He also worked with the Compass, Next and National Mirror newspapers.
Before the appointment, he was the editor of Western Post, an online news outfit.
