Former chief executive officer of Konga, an e-commerce firm, Nick Imudia, has taken his own life in his Lagos apartment.

Imudia jumped from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki on Tuesday evening and died instantly.

Spokesman of Lagos Police Command Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident to PUNCH on Thursday. “Yes, it is true. He committed the act on June 25,” he said.

Imudia, before his death, reportedly put a phone call through to his brother in the United States, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth. He also called his young daughter to inform her that he would always be there for her, reports The Will.

The former Konga boss, an indigene of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his daughter.

The marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.
