With her single status the subject of media speculation and beer parlour gossip, the drop dead gorgeous businesswoman and environment activist pulled a fast one all those interested in what is happening in her private life.
The Queens College alumnus got social media buzzing when she posted the image of a hand with an engagement ring with the caption “I said yes. Why does he have to do it today of all days. Love you always. This butterfly has been captured.”
Smelling blood, a number of online publications joyfully reported that the woman had been taken by a mystery fiancé.
Bloggers were not the only ones who fell over themselves for the scoop.
Fans also poured into the comment section of her post to congratulate her heartily for finally leaving the shelf of unwed celebrities.
She however burst their bubble with another post bearing the same hand and engagement ring.
Only that this time, she revealed that her earlier post was a prank.
We are guessing bloggers will treat subsequent stories about her engagement with caution.
