Folasade Thomas, a former teacher at Olashore International School in Osun State, has celebrated one of her ex-students Stephanie Adeniji who just bagged a Bachelor of Science Communications (Broadcast) from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, USA.
QEDNG learnt Miss Adeniji also won “Second Place” in the In-Depth Video News Reporting – Division 2 category for her interview “LUTV News “InFocus” – Sanaz Alasti: Death Penalty, Discipline, and Determination” at the 2024 Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Awards.
Writing in a Facebook post on Saturday, Mrs Thomas, who is no longer an employee of Olashore International School, congratulated Adeniji on her feats while recalling her efforts and prayer for the old student.
“Congratulations to you Oyindamola Stephanie Adeniji.
“I can still remember all my counselling sessions with you at Olashore International School. I am so happy and thank God that all my efforts and prayers are not in vain. I celebrate you dear,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Adeniji has accepted an internship from The Funds for American Studies in Washington D.C. in Summer 2024.
Her father Olayiwola Adeniji told QEDNG that While on the internship, Stephanie will have the chance to attend guest lectures by top Washington D.C. journalists and media professionals and attend behind-the-scenes briefings at the U.S. Capitol, State Department, and other government entities.
She will resume her graduate studies in Communications at the University of Texas, San Antonio in Fall 2024.
