A former State House correspondent of Television Continental (TVC) Mariah Olasehinde has been appointed deputy director of news media by the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (ICC).
The group’s national coordinator Silas Agara announced this in a letter to her made available to reporters on Monday.
“I wish to convey to you the decision of Planning and Strategy Committee (PSC) of his Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Presidential candidate in the 2023 general election to appoint you as Deputy Director, News Media, Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council,” he said.
Agara noted that the appointment was due to Olasehinde’s track record as a grassroots mobiliser, while urging her to use her experience as a veteran broadcaster to mobilise votes for Tinubu/Shetima in 2023 poll.
Olasehinde, who is currently the chief executive officer of Marbays Communications Ltd, graduated from the University of Abuja and had her mandatory one-year national service at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Channel 10, Lagos.
