Elo Ogidi, a four-year-old girl kidnapped from the headquarters of Christ Embassy church in Oregun, Lagos in July has been found, her parents have confirmed.
The girl who became a subject of social media campaign by celebrities was reportedly found at an orphanage in Edo State on Friday.
Her parents, Afokoghene Ogidi and Rita Ogidi, said they were notified by an individual who spotted the resemblance of the child to the pictures which had been going across social media.
“The police have been called in, who confirmed her identity for us and she is safely in their custody and would be reunited with us tomorrow,” they said in a statement that has now gone viral on Instagram.
